Fly Your Flag Day aimed to bring together our local and national community to stand together in solidarity during the first lockdown.

The project aimed at celebrating all of the amazing people, families, friends, neighbours, key workers and acts of kindness in such a challenging time.

The initiative invited households and organisations to order a flag pack from us which contained a plain flag and ideas on how it can be decorated. It was then up to the person how it was decorated and what message they would like to put on the flag.

The project initially targeted Pendle but after broadcasting this on social media and BBC Radio Lancashire we received requests from Manchester, Preston, Blackpool, Lancaster and as far as Luton!

Over 200 flags went out and we received some wonderfully creative and colourful designs full of togetherness and hope.
